In the News: SpecimenTrack included in Nature Medicine technology review on biobank software…
We were recently approached by Nature Medicine to participate in a technology article on biobanking software. Naturally, our Director of Translational Informatics, Hank Wu, stepped up and shared some of his observations from experience in the research space with biospecimen and sample management.
Here’s an excerpt from the article:
“Nowadays, these repositories of scientific specimens must handle sample intake, collate reams of data and make the resulting information available to the research community in a useful fashion. Shifting from the role of a sample storehouse to an active research engine is no easy task, but powerful informatics technologies are now helping scientists and biobank managers make the transition.”
We’re thrilled to be included in this write-up. As Hank points out, SpecimenTrack is the first and only biospecimen management software to connect researchers to the biorepository and the clinic. This level of integration breaks down data silos and makes the biorepository a key component of multi-center, collaborative translational research.
Remedy continues to create innovative products that will help researchers as they collect and analyze data to find emerging patterns to answer science and healthcare’s biggest questions.
